Our Love Story
12 October 2016
You guys September was a blur.
Rory had her first preschool field trip to our local Fry's store!
(Smith's if you're in Utah, Ralph's in Cali, it's our Kroger brand store)
Jade and I got to tag along and I did my grocery shopping while they ate a snack.
She had so much fun being with her friends from school
and following Miss Sue everywhere hahaha
Poor Miss Sue rarely gets a break from Rory cuz she's also in our ward
and is now my Compassionate Service Coordinating partner hahaha
She will never get away from us! :)
But I digress!
Rory got to go in the fridge section where they keep the milk and such,
touch a lobster in the deli,
and see all of the product behind the scenes!
Now when we go to Fry's she tries to act like a tour guide haha
Guys I swear she grew up like 10 years.
She looks so old now and is super independent
(more than she already was),
a little drama queen for sure hahaha,
and she's learning so much!
She writes her name mostly by herself now.
She wants to write it on everything that's hers,
including her clothes and self.
On the same day that our van decided to have a flat tire,
my iPhone died a sad depressing, not my fault death.
The touch screen stopped working so after a few weeks of using a temp phone
that thankfully we had kept from previous years,
I got one of these bad boys!
It's amazingly sad actually how much I missed having this phone haha
But luckily I have amazing in laws that helped us out
with this and I was back to 2016 tech in no time :)
It's finally starting to cool down in AZ!
The temps have actually been dipping below triple digits every so often,
therefore we like to open our door!
(what I wouldn't give for a screen door)
We picked out a nice fall smell for the Scentsy warmers and have just enjoyed the nice weather.
We've been to the park now twice this week
(yes I know it's October and this is mostly about September but still!)
and the splash pad this morning and my kids are so happy
to finally get to venture outside again!
My allergies on the other hand, NOT so happy
but the sneezes are worth their happy faces haha
We love spending time with our family
and Jade and Papa had a nice moment together in his office one day while we were there.
She loves her Papa and her "Papa-corn"
(aka Pirates Booty)
Andrew has been attempting to teach Rory how to play some video games.
She always asks to play and he finally decided she was old enough.
She does play on her LeapPad almost daily but they're educational games
so I wasn't sure if she'd be ok with these new ones.
I was mistaken hahaha
They play a chasing game on NintendoLand and she loves being able to play with Daddy.
Of course, whatever big sister does,
Jade must also do.
So we give her the other controller without batteries
(hello, we ain't newbies here hahaha)
and they "play" together all the time!
I just HAD to share my awesomeness at forgetting I had rolls rising
while Andrew went to the Priesthood session of
and the girls and I went to play with our friends at their house.
I came home to this sight and about died from laughter cuz I was like
"they're never going to rise!!
I've had them out for 2 hours and NOTHING!"
Well, they proved me wrong AND still tasted pretty dang delicious :)
We had Jade's last dermatologist appointment on the last day of September!!
She's not completely free of her eczema but we don't have to go in
anymore unless she has a bad flare up!
And we just have to keep her extra moist now that we're entering the "winter" of AZ
which is even drier than the summer.
She also looks super old now!!
She's over 2 years old and I swear she's 12!
She's spunky, loud,
in the full throws of 2 year old tantrums,
tries to talk to hard hahaha
I just can't believe how fast and slow it all goes!
This month is my BIRTHDAY MONTH!!
I can't believe a year went by so fast,
but I'm excited to see where it takes us form here ;)
