Bookworm Favorites

I had such a hard time deciding what to put on this post!
I'm a huge bookworm!
You will rarely see me without a book in my purse or by my bed.
Narrowing down my favorites is hard!

But what I decided to do is do
a couple that are like all-time favorites for me.
And then maybe some "honorable mentions" hahaha

So all time favorite number one,
go-to when I need a good friend to talk to:

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte!
Kid you not, my favorite book.
I love Jane and her determination to stick to her morals
and also just how fiercely she loves
and it's written beautifully in my opinion.
Don't even get me started on movie adaptations of this book,
Pretty much all of them,
especially the newest one with Magneto and Alice hahaha

Second all time favorite:

The Neverending Story by Michael Ende.
Yes they made this ONE book into like what 4 movies??
And only 2 of those movies were legitimately based on the book!
And very loosely based might I add.
I loved the movie when I was a kid
and no, I didn't know it was a real book until I was much older.
SUCH an amazing read
and it teaches kids good morals as well as using their imaginations!

Another favorite:

The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas!
Oh guys this book has it all:
love, tragedy, mystery, thrills, sword fighting, intrigues,
friendship, etc.
NONE of the movies I've seen based on this book have done ANY justice
to the awesomeness that it is.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusack.
OH my gosh THIS. BOOK!
It caught me completely by surprise.
I can't even remember how I found it,
probably was just browsing the bookshelves at the library
and I fell in love.
Follows a girl named Liesl in WW2 Germany.
She discovers the powers of words
and it's just such a compelling book.
And actually this movie was pretty good!
I liked their interpretation of the book.

Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson.
I know, I'm all over the place!
Fantasy, historical fiction, classics haha
But really I loved this book by Sanderson.
Follows Siri on a most interesting journey as she's married off to the God King,
when it was supposed to be her older sister sent away
and the intrigues that happen there.
And last of the favorites shelf:
Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas.
The movie they made of this with
Jim Caviezel was horrific, ugh!
Book is soooo much better!
Edmond Dantes is thrown into jail for a crime he didn't commit,
14 years later escapes and returns as the Count of Monte Cristo
with a fortune large enough to exact his revenge on those who put him
away for good!
Oooooooo chills! Hahaha
But seriously, it's so good!

Honorable mentions:

The Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan.
Oh my gosh LOVE those!

Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling.
What bookworm doesn't love Harry Potter?!
Although, if you really don't, we might need to rethink our friendship.....
The Princess Bride by William Goldman.
Yeah its a BOOK guys!
Like a real deal, not just in the movie book!
And the movie was so stinking close to the real deal that it's perfect!

Those are my favorites!
What are yours??
I need more reading in my life hahaha ;)
